PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To supervise all activities in the dedicated Warehouse and ensure compliance with Company procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12/NQF4 equivalent is essential
  • Materials Management/Logistics/Supply Chain Diploma or NQF 6 equivalent is essential
  • 3-5 Years Warehouse Management experience is essential
  • Must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

COMPETENCIES:

  • Must have good communication skills
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • SAP Materials module (PTP)
  • Stock Control

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Supervises all activities in the Warehouse including good housekeeping.
  • Monitors and controls redundant/obsolete stock and waste.
  • Analyses productivity and utilisation figures.
  • Updates information on planning desks board and records information on MCS.
  • Investigates Material non-conformances.
  • Responsible for consignment stock and Fuel management.
  • Improvement of current processes.
  • Reverses the Receipt of Goods in the event of a non-conforming deliveries.
  • Processes Goods Returned to Suppliers.
  • Checks unconfirmed receipts daily.
  • Resolves end user and supplier queries.
  • Processes the Material Distribution Dashboard Report to identify out of stock situations.
  • Processes the Issue Inability Report to determine parts and material with insufficient stock cover.
  • Attends to ad hoc queries for material unavailability.
  • Prioritises material unavailability according to impact on the business.
  • Updates Daily Stock Count Schedules and Material Classifications (A, B, C).
  • Allocates Cycle counts.
  • Ensures stock items in high demand are secured safely to prevent theft and damages.
  • Ensures deviations in stock are investigated, rectified, reported and preventative actions are implemented.
