PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure that all occupational and MVA injuries as well as NIHL cases are accurately maintained on the system as per MHSA & COIDA requirements and are timeously reported to all the relevant stakeholders to avoid penalties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/ NQF 4 with Maths & English is essential
- Computer literacy (MS Officer Excel, Word & Outlook) & SAP (HSE Module) is essential
- Minimum of 2 year working experience in an administrative role is essential
- Previous working experience in a mining environment would be advantageous
- Any post matric experience in numerical analysis/statistics would be advantageous
- Valid medical certificate is essential or medically fit in order to obtain such certificate
COMPETENCIES:
- Good communication and Analytical Skills are essential
- Report Writing and minutes taking skills are essential
- Knowledge on Safety rules, Policies and Procedures is essential
- Knowledge on MHSA (Chapter 23) and COIDA (Basic) is essential
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or electronically in accordance with departmental systems and procedures.
- Compile, sort and verify accuracy of data to be entered.
- Review files, records, and other documents in order to obtain information and respond to requests.
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain information, and address complaints.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient records management system ISO 9001-2008.
Safety Specific Duties: Register all injuries, NIHL cases and dangerous occurrences in SAP on a daily basis in accordance with the Impala rules and do legal appointment as per MHASA and regulations.
