Journeyman Welder/Fabricator

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate metal parts, producing strong, clean welds
• Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output
• Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds

Qualifications:

• Inter-provincial Journeyman ticket
• Prior experience welding
• CWB tickets - an asset
• Experience with shears, breaks, ironworkers, presses, shop equipment is required
• Proficient with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding; air arc cutting, and gouging
• Capable of operating a CNC plasma cutting machine with the ability to do basic light CAD design work is a definite asset
• Able to read prints
• Reliable and able to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-motivated
• Able to conduct mobile work
• Able to work competently with minimum supervision
• Must have a valid driver’s license
