Job Title: Manager, Salesforce Software Development

Position Summary:
As part of a team that is responsible for developing, implementing, enhancing and maintaining Salesforce platform, including Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Pardot, Experience Cloud, Revenue Cloud and more, this Manager leads a group of developers onshore and offshore charged with building scalable solutions within the Salesforce platform. As the leader of the development team, they are responsible for coordinating the technical work across all other resources on the team and delivering work accurately and on time.
The team’s technical resources – software developers and administrators – support system configurations, programming, upgrades, patches, testing and deployments across the platform. The Salesforce Development Team Lead applies practical knowledge of software engineering to conceive, design, develop, test and implement solutions within Salesforce, often driving components of the work through subordinate technical resources, both internally and externally.
As a senior member of the team, they have in-depth knowledge of the platform, acts as a point of escalation for the rest of the team and provides leadership and guidance to developers on their team. Advanced knowledge of Salesforce products and applications expected.
Primary Accountabilities:
Technical (65%)
Own the architecture, technical design and development of software fixes, enhancements, components, and/or new software systems and applications, working alongside the Salesforce CRM Platform Manager
Drive development of components through own and subordinate developers' work
Responsible for testing and debugging software where needed
Review subordinate developers’ code for best practices and scalability
Responsible for producing and maintaining solid documentation of all work products and systems
Serve as a high-level technical resource and “go-to” person for less experienced developers, providing technical guidance and oversight
Creates protocols, documentation and tools for installation and maintenance.
Participates in setting the architectural direction for Salesforce development projects.
Able to code against front-end technology stack and lead end-to-end troubleshooting.
Interacts and coordinates deliverables with other technical groups in the organization.
Participate in conceiving and setting the architectural direction for development projects
Leadership (25%)
Manage a team of developers responsible for scalable and timely solutions in Salesforce
Guide and train new staff members on Salesforce org
Leads team members in problem analysis and issue resolution
Manage and lead team of vendor partner resources and assign work as needed both onshore and offshore
Strategic (10%)
Participate in strategic design sessions ensuring scalability and health of Salesforce org.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in finance, computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics or related field
8+ years of Salesforce development experience demonstrating a progression of skills in software design, development and implementation of highly scalable and reliable solutions.

Certified Salesforce Administrator and/or Advanced Administrator
Certified Salesforce Developer I & II
Certified Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant
Certified Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
Application Architect
System Architect
Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Experience Cloud (pkn Communities), Tableau CRM, Pardot, CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud
Technical experience designing and implementing complex enterprise applications in B2C eCommerce
Experience leading or working with geographically dispersed development teams, a plus
Experience with Agile development practices including story development, estimating, sprint planning and leading scrums
Ability to mentor and guide other technical resources
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, with emphasis on Excel) or G-Suite
Specific Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Experience Cloud, Tableau CRM, Pardot, CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud
APEX, VisualForce, SOQL, SOSL, Lighting Flows
