The client has implemented SAP for most its corporate financial processes. The Information Technology Operations Division (ITE/ITO) is currently looking for a SAP HCM Analyst to join the SAP Center of Excellence (SAP COE) to assist in making both Functional and Technical implementation decisions.

Consultancy objective(s)

Provide Functional and Technical support to enhance a customized solution in Fiori that uses and integrates HR and SRM backend.

Main activities

The selected candidate will:

  • Works closely with Subject Matter Experts, business partners, user community, other SAP Analysts, development team and other team members in the organization, on SAP maintenance and support tasks, projects, and initiatives.
  • Implement & stabilize interfaces with other systems.
  • Translates business requirements into detailed functional specifications, test scripts, and other system documentation while adhering to company standards
  • Identifies benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system designs and their impact on the integration with other systems and SAP modules
  • Coordinate the lifecycle of application changes, corrective and new functionalities, in area of responsibility.
  • Performs SAP configuration or ABAP development to support changing and new business needs.
  • Identify and investigate options for developing and improving business systems, bridging the needs of business users with IT area.
  • Leverage the SAP Solution Manager for Application Lifecycle Management and Operations tasks


  • Academic Degree/level: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or MIS or related Business Discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP HR or SRM as developer and functional support.
  • Language: Written and spoken command of English and Spanish.
  • Areas of Expertise: Human Capital Management (HCM) modules of SAP ECC 6.0, ESS/MSS, HR Processes & Forms (FPM), SRM, Fiori.


  • Ability to review and understand SAP Configuration, Interfaces, and programs to lead the trouble shoot of defects or incidents reported in the operation of the SAP solution.
  • Resolve technical issues related to ABAP, WDA, dialog programming, enhancements (including user‐exits, BADI's, enhancement spots, and Infotype enhancements), smart forms, iDocs, ALV, RFCs, Infoset(s), query writing, and other SAP development tools.
  • Design and development of new functionalities in ESS/MSS and how to integrate in ESS/MSS.
  • SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5, or superior.
  • Perform Unit Testing of fixes/enhancements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with others (e.g., managers, analysts, designers, developers, operations, testing team, help desk, vendors, etc.) to coordinate completion of projects.
  • Minimum of six years of IT work experience, and of four years in SAP ABAP.
  • Must have good understanding of HCM specific infotypes, data dictionary (including logical databases, search helps and clusters), Function modules, RFC’s, BAPI’s, Interactive Adobeforms PDF and other ABAP objects.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adhere to schedules and project timelines and communication of issues/problems that may impact the ability to meet objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects.
  • Language: Written and spoken command of English is required. Spanish is a must.

Desired but not critical:

  • Experience programming in Fiori.
  • Experience with payroll interfaces to external vendors. Experience with other SAP modules such as FI, SD, and SRM.
  • Experience programming in other languages sql, java, etc.
  • Experience designing and developing integrations through Biztalk and APIM.
