ROLE: Systems Engineer Avionics & Integration (Aerospace | Quebec Office)

Office Location: Montreal, QC (Onsite and fulltime)

Salary Range: CAD $110,000 $140,000

We are a recruitment agency representing a leading Avionics and Aerospace company in Canada. Our client is actively seeking a Senior Systems Engineer Avionics & Integration to join their growing Montreal-based team working on high-impact aerospace and avionics programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of advanced avionics systems
  • Create system artifacts: Block Diagrams, ICDs, Wiring Diagrams, and more
  • Conduct system trade-off studies and architecture evaluations
  • Capture and manage system requirements using DOORS (or equivalent)
  • Define safety and performance requirements aligned with certification standards (ARP4754, DO-178C, etc.)
  • Support system integration testing in lab and aircraft environments
  • Assist with aircraft-level certification processes and documentation
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Masters preferred)
  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in complex avionics system engineering
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools like DOORS
  • Knowledge of ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-297
  • Familiarity with avionics systems: FMS, GPS, TCAS, TAWS, WXR, SVS, etc.
  • Experience with system certification (FAR Part 23/25) and TSO/STC compliance (an asset)
  • Strong communication, technical documentation, and team collaboration skills
