Job Summary:

We are looking for a System Integration Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in deploying and integrating robotics systems with various sensor modules. The role requires strong proficiency in Linux environments, hardware-software interfacing, and hands-on support during system deployment. As integration includes physical hardware, this is a hybrid/on-site position based in Montreal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate robotic systems with sensors (LIDAR, IMU, GPS, cameras, etc.).

  • Set up and manage Linux-based environments for robotic deployments.

  • Support on-site integration, testing, and calibration of robotics systems.

  • Work with middleware such as ROS/ROS2 for real-time sensor communication.

  • Identify and resolve hardware-software interface issues.

  • Document integration procedures and deployment configurations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.

  • 4 to 6 years in robotics or embedded system integration roles.

  • Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu), Bash scripting, and system troubleshooting.

  • Experience working with robotic frameworks like ROS/ROS2.

  • Strong understanding of communication protocols (CAN, UART, Ethernet).

  • Comfortable working on-site with hardware and field deployments.

  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred.

Nice to Have:
  • Basic Python or C++ for scripting and automation.

  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).

  • Exposure to real-time or embedded systems.
