Must-Have Skills & Experience:
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in safety-critical system design

  • Proven track record in leading hardware/software projects for regulated industries

  • Experience working with certification standards such as DO-254, DO-178C, and DO-160

  • Strong knowledge of engineering planning, estimates, documentation, and quality processes

  • Skilled in risk analysis and mitigation strategies

  • Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering execution for projects governed by safety and certification standards

  • Develop project estimates, engineering plans, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Coordinate deliverables across teams spanning hardware, software, QA, certification, and manufacturing

  • Ensure compliance with DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, and internal development processes

  • Monitor progress, prepare status reports, and resolve issues impacting timelines or quality

  • Support continuous product innovation and contribute to process improvement efforts

  • Act as the technical liaison with Program Management, Quality Assurance, and Certification groups
