About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Shopify Developer on behalf of our client for a hybrid role based in Lahore. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shopify expert to lead custom storefront and app development efforts, performance optimization, and third-party integrations in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-performance Shopify solutions that enhance user experience, drive conversions, and streamline operations for premium online stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Build and maintain Shopify apps (public, private, embedded) using Node.js or similar stacks.

  • Integrate third-party APIs (CRM, ERP, logistics, analytics, etc.) with Shopify.

  • Leverage Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, and GraphQL for advanced functionalities.

  • Customize Shopify Plus features such as checkout.liquid and Shopify Functions.

  • Lead performance optimization, A/B testing, and user experience enhancements.

  • Collaborate with UI/UX, marketing, and operations teams for successful project execution.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, ecosystem tools, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify development.

  • Expertise in Liquid templating, theme architecture, and Shopify metafields.

  • Strong frontend skills: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 and related tools.

  • Proficient in backend development using Node.js, Express, and Shopify Polaris (React).

  • Deep understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and Shopify CLI.

  • Familiarity with Hydrogen and headless Shopify setups is a strong plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with Shopify Plus and advanced checkout customizations.

  • Developed apps available on the Shopify App Store.

  • Familiar with deployment environments such as Heroku, Vercel, or Oxygen.

  • Worked with Shopify stores in fashion, electronics, or lifestyle verticals.
