We are seeking a highly driven and tenacious Sales Lead to spearhead client acquisition across enterprise, public sector, and small-to-medium commercial (SMC) markets, with a strong focus on expanding sales throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The ideal candidate will have proven experience selling Technology and Software products and/ or Microsoft products, combined with the persistence and strategic mindset needed to navigate complex sales cycles and diverse markets.

Key Responsibility:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to exceed revenue targets across Enterprise, public sector, and SMC segments, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa markets.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for Microsoft product offerings to capture new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate tenacity in driving sales initiatives, overcoming challenges, and penetrating diverse markets within Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand business needs and propose effective technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to align sales efforts with company goals and market demands.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine sales approaches.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Lead contract negotiations and close deals while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Build and manage all stages of sales pipeline to consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets (prospecting through to deal closing).
  • Achieve maximum sales profitability, market penetration, and growth within the target market audience.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and target industries.
    Plan, execute, and document sales steps utilizing CRM tools.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, social media, networking, and attending industry events.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, IT, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the tech sector, with proven success selling, technology products/ services and/ or Microsoft solutions (Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data & AI)
  • Deep understanding of enterprise and public sector sales cycles and procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated tenacity and ability to drive sales growth across the challenging and diverse Sub-Saharan African market.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing effective sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales analytics tools.
