The Senior Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing procurement activities to ensure cost-effective purchasing of goods and services, while maintaining high-quality standards and supplier performance. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or any related course
  • Must have 2-3 years or above experience in international importation, bill of lading and customs documentation.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory procurement role
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and compliance
  • Time and project management abilities
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
Job Description:
  • Lead and manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and purchase orders.
  • Experience in international importation, bill of lading and customs documentation.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply and favorable pricing.
  • Analyze purchasing trends, market conditions, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project schedules and operational needs.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, availability, and reliability.
  • Monitor contract compliance and ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Engineering) to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports, cost analyses, and forecasts for senior management.
  • Manage and support junior purchasing staff in day-to-day operations and professional development.
