Account Receivable Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team. This individual will manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and resolution of any issues related to accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the importing and distribution industry, with experience in leading teams and driving financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the accounts receivable team, ensuring high performance and adherence to deadlines.
• Oversee the processing of customer invoices and ensure that they are accurate and issued promptly.
• Monitor and review accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers on overdue accounts.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies regarding credit and collections.
• Analyze and report on accounts receivable performance metrics to senior management.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve disputes and discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for the accounts receivable team.
• Maintain and improve customer credit limits and terms based on payment history and financial analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, audits, and monthly closing activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the importing and distribution industry.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, credit management, and collections processes.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
