Art Consultant

Job Description:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Art Consultant to guide clients in selecting and acquiring artwork that aligns with their tastes, space, and investment goals. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of art history, market trends, and client relationship management, with a flair for aesthetics and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise private collectors, corporations, designers, and institutions on art acquisitions and investments

Curate and present tailored selections of paintings, sculptures, digital art, and mixed media

Build and maintain relationships with clients, artists, and galleries

Stay updated on the latest art trends, exhibitions, auctions, and market values

Assist clients in purchasing, leasing, or commissioning custom works

Prepare presentations, mood boards, and proposals for clients and projects

Oversee logistics including shipping, framing, installation, and artwork authentication

Collaborate with interior designers, curators, and project managers to ensure seamless art integration

Attend art fairs, gallery openings, and industry events to expand network and knowledge

Maintain a strong understanding of art history, styles, and valuation to educate and inform clients

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Art History, Fine Arts, or a related field

Prior experience as an art consultant, curator, or gallery associate

Strong visual sense and knowledge of contemporary and classical art

Excellent interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills

Ability to assess space, scale, and context for artwork placement

Proficiency in presentation software and CRM tools
