We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Travel Insurance Manager to lead the travel insurance division, overseeing sales, operations, client services, and compliance. This role involves managing a team of insurance professionals, developing effective business strategies, expanding client portfolios, and ensuring seamless claims and policy management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in travel insurance products, risk management, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales and retention goals for travel insurance policies.

  • Manage, train, and mentor insurance agents, advisors, and support staff.

  • Provide expert guidance to clients on travel insurance coverage, including trip cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and international travel risks.

  • Oversee underwriting, policy issuance, renewals, and claims processing.

  • Ensure compliance with local and international insurance regulations.

  • Monitor travel industry trends and competitor offerings to recommend product enhancements.

  • Resolve escalated client inquiries and claims disputes effectively.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, corporate partners, and clients.

  • Collaborate with underwriters, claims adjusters, and global assistance providers.

  • Generate regular performance and business growth reports for senior management.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.

  • Experience: 35 years of proven experience in travel insurance, health insurance, or related insurance management.

  • Strong understanding of domestic and international travel insurance policies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and client relationship management abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and insurance management software.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Insurance or Risk Management (e.g., CPCU, AINS).

  • Experience in corporate and group travel insurance.

  • Ability to design competitive and innovative travel insurance packages.

  • Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
