About the job HR Officer

We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable HR Officer to manage and support core human resources functions, ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance with U.S. labor laws. This remote role involves employee relations, HR administration, recruitment support, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, people-focused, and capable of handling HR responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS

  • Manage attendance, leave records, and employee documentation

  • Prepare HR letters, contracts, and reports

Recruitment & Staffing Support

  • Support end-to-end recruitment including job postings, screening, and interview coordination

  • Coordinate with hiring managers and external recruiters

  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment data

Employee Relations

  • Act as a point of contact for employee HR queries

  • Assist in handling employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary processes

  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and documentation

  • Manage exit processes, final settlements, and exit interviews

Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local labor laws

  • Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating HR policies

  • Support internal and external HR audits

Performance & Development Support

  • Assist in performance appraisal processes

  • Support training and development initiatives

  • Track employee performance documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Officer role

  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR practices

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)

  • Experience working with remote or multi-state U.S. employees

  • Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems
