Systems Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organizations IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems while supporting business-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networks, and other IT systems.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize reliability and efficiency.

• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems.

• Collaborate with IT, development, and security teams to implement infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and optimizations.

• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

• Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and workflows.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, scalability, and security.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of server administration (Windows/Linux), networking, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures.

• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Network+, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.
