Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Garment Quality Controller to oversee the quality of our products from raw materials to finished goods. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of garment production processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology or Equivalent.
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business areas: Garments, Textile, Buying House, Apparel Brand.
Additional Skills & Expertise Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in various fabrics such as Circular Knit, Woven (Denim & Non-denim), and Home Textiles.
- Good understanding of fabric quality (construction, weight, color, shed, etc.).
- Knowledge of fabric test standards and requirements for different kinds of fabrics.
- Good understanding of the machinery requirements for garment production.
- Strong knowledge of garment production processes and quality standards.
- Fluent in English to communicate with buyers.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using quality inspection tools and software.
- Ability to guide and manage multiple customers and factories simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Review customer quality standard manuals, communicate the standards, and guide the factory to implement them.
- Understand customer concepts and ideas to develop new products from sketches, tech packs, or samples with the right quality.
- Follow bulk production in multiple factories simultaneously
- Instruct the concerned team about critical operations, find solutions to quality issues, and provide technical guidance as necessary.
- Monitor sampling and production according to the 'Time and Action Plan to ensure timely task submission with the right quality and quantity.
- Inspect raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Frequently visit factories to oversee production processes and conduct quality checks at various stages (In-line Inspection, Production Monitoring, Pre-final and Final Inspection).
- Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are taken and implemented.
- Collaborate with factory production and quality teams to improve quality control processes.
- Maintain detailed reports of quality issues and resolutions.
- Ensure the use of approved materials.
- Frequently visit production lines to check product quality and ensure products conform to given standards.
- Understand challenges in different production processes and take preventive measures to overcome them.
- Implement new concepts and techniques to add value to products and processes.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications through inspections.
- Communicate all issues with the Merchandise team for immediate solutions.
- Provide real-time updates to the Merchandise team about materials and production.
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs.
