Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the schools curriculum and educational standards.

Teach English literature, composition, grammar, and vocabulary to students in grades 912.

Foster a classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and academic achievement.

Assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, presentations, and class participation.

Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate academic progress with parents/guardians.

Prepare students for standardized tests and college readiness assessments.

Incorporate technology and diverse teaching methods to enhance learning.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.

Uphold school policies, discipline, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in English, Education, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Valid state teaching certification/license for secondary English.

Proven experience teaching high school English (minimum 2 years preferred).

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
