Key Purpose:
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer for our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and systems.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems according to project requirements.
- Utilize industry-leading software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create detailed designs and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.
- Conduct feasibility studies and perform risk assessments to identify potential design flaws.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process, ensuring seamless integration of designs into production.
- Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to continuously improve designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical design technology, contributing to our culture of innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, with a minimum of 5 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required, with additional familiarity with software such as Revit, Creo, and Inventor considered a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
