Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and complex medical conditions in adult patients.

Perform comprehensive physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests.

Develop and implement treatment plans in coordination with physicians and specialists.

Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and institutional regulations.

Perform clinical procedures such as central line placement, intubation, thoracentesis, and lumbar punctures (based on privileges and training).

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and follow-up care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Participate in rounds, interdisciplinary care planning, and handoffs.

Collaborate with nursing staff, case managers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Masters or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
Licensure & Certification:
-
Current and unrestricted RN and APRN license in [State].

National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (e.g., AACN or ANCC).

ACLS and BLS certification (required); PALS or ATLS (if applicable).
Experience:

13 years of acute or critical care experience preferred (new graduates with ICU RN background may be considered).
Skills:

Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.

Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).

Working Conditions:
