Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:

Provide vision and leadership for curriculum development, academic policies, and instructional standards.

Ensure academic programs meet accreditation and regulatory standards.

Promote innovative teaching methods and use of technology in instruction.
Faculty Oversight:

Recruit, evaluate, mentor, and support faculty and academic staff.

Facilitate faculty development and performance reviews.

Ensure compliance with faculty workload, promotion, and tenure policies.
Program Development and Evaluation:

Oversee development, implementation, and assessment of academic programs.
-
Lead academic planning and program review processes.
-
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and new program initiatives.
Student Success:

Support student learning, retention, and completion initiatives.

Address academic concerns and grievances in coordination with faculty and student services.
Strategic Planning and Budgeting:

Develop and manage the academic budget for the division.

Participate in institutional planning and policy-making.
-
Align academic priorities with institutional goals and available resources.
Partnerships and Outreach:

Collaborate with other deans, departments, and external partners.
-
Represent the school/division in institutional committees and community events.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant academic discipline.

Minimum 57 years of academic leadership experience (e.g., department chair, associate dean).

Demonstrated commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred:

Experience with accreditation processes.

Familiarity with institutional effectiveness and assessment strategies.

Proven ability to lead change and manage diverse teams.
