About the job Fabrication Supervisor
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication operations, manage a team of skilled workers, and ensure production targets and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in metal fabrication processes, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day activities in the fabrication department, ensuring optimal productivity and quality.

Assign tasks, monitor performance, and support a team of welders, fabricators, machine operators, and helpers.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to guide fabrication processes.

Ensure fabricated components meet design specifications and quality standards.

Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and logistics to meet project requirements.

Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.

Enforce compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.

Troubleshoot issues related to materials, equipment, or processes to minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, labor hours, and equipment maintenance.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements:

Diploma or Technical Certification in Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

35 years of experience in a supervisory role within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of welding, cutting, bending, and assembly techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Proficient in using fabrication tools and equipment.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality control processes.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with CNC machinery and automated fabrication systems.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

Familiarity with ERP or production management systems.
