We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication operations, manage a team of skilled workers, and ensure production targets and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in metal fabrication processes, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day activities in the fabrication department, ensuring optimal productivity and quality.

  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and support a team of welders, fabricators, machine operators, and helpers.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to guide fabrication processes.

  • Ensure fabricated components meet design specifications and quality standards.

  • Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and logistics to meet project requirements.

  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.

  • Enforce compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to materials, equipment, or processes to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, labor hours, and equipment maintenance.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 35 years of experience in a supervisory role within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of welding, cutting, bending, and assembly techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Proficient in using fabrication tools and equipment.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality control processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CNC machinery and automated fabrication systems.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

  • Familiarity with ERP or production management systems.
