Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on boats, including engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and hulls.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in both inboard and outboard systems.

  • Install and service marine electronics, accessories, and navigation systems.

  • Conduct water tests and sea trials to verify repairs and ensure performance.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent using service software or work orders.

  • Assist with haul-out, launch, and dockside services as needed.

  • Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations in all service activities.

  • Communicate effectively with service advisors, managers, and customers to report issues and recommend solutions.

  • Stay current with new technologies, tools, and manufacturer service bulletins.

  • Support warranty work and pre-delivery inspections for new boats.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on marine service or technician experience.

  • Strong knowledge of marine engines (outboard and inboard), electrical systems, and boat hardware.

  • Certification from marine manufacturers (Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, etc.) is a plus.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.

  • Familiarity with marine diagnostic tools and service manuals.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in marine mechanics preferred.

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record; boating license is a plus.
