About the job Early Childhood Assistant
The Early Childhood Assistant supports the implementation of a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged 05 years. Working under the guidance of Early Childhood Educators, this role assists in daily classroom activities, meal routines, hygiene, and developmental play.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and play-based curriculum.

Support children's personal needs, including feeding, diapering, and toileting.

Monitor children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.

Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.

Observe and document childrens behavior and development under the direction of the Lead Educator.

Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines and general progress.

Support the emotional well-being of children by offering comfort, encouragement, and guidance.

Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an Early Childhood Assistant certificate or equivalent training preferred.

First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting is an asset.

Knowledge of early childhood development principles.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
