About the job Cisco Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and certified Cisco Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for secure and reliable connectivity across our enterprise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and software, along with a strong grasp of network security, routing, and switching.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage Cisco-based network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.

Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, and network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.).

Monitor network performance and optimize performance and reliability.

Implement and manage Cisco ASA, Firepower, or similar firewall technologies.

Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues.

Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.

Ensure network security and compliance with internal and external standards.

Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional IT teams for upgrades and integrations.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is required; CCIE is a plus.

35+ years of hands-on experience in Cisco network engineering roles.

Solid understanding of networking concepts and Cisco platforms (e.g., Catalyst, Nexus).

Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark.

Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is an advantage.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
