Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Online Math and Science Tutor to provide personalized academic support to students of various grade levels. The tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging online lessons, clarifying complex concepts, and helping students improve their understanding and performance in Mathematics and Science. This role requires excellent subject expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet different learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one and group tutoring sessions online in Mathematics and Science.

  • Explain complex concepts in a clear, easy-to-understand manner.

  • Assist students with homework, assignments, test preparation, and exam strategies.

  • Create customized lesson plans tailored to students academic needs and grade levels.

  • Use interactive tools, simulations, and visual aids to enhance student engagement.

  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning.

  • Stay updated with current Math and Science curricula and teaching methods.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 - 2 years of tutoring or teaching Math and/or Science (online or classroom).

  • Strong subject knowledge in areas such as Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, etc.).

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and student needs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT, IGCSE, IB, O/A Levels).

  • Ability to integrate digital resources and interactive tools in lessons.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Patient, empathetic, and encouraging teaching style.
