We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Construction Foreman / Supervisor to lead the successful completion of civil construction projects, with the opportunity to join a growing team and support future work across Western Canada. This position reports to the General Superintendent and is based in the Kamloops, BC area, with travel to project sites as required.

About the Role

The Civil Construction Foreman / Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising day-to-day site activities to support the safe, efficient, and successful execution of civil construction projects. This role works closely with the General Superintendent, Project Team, subcontractors, operators, labour crews, and other stakeholders to ensure construction activities are completed on time, on budget, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate has previous experience supervising and directing site works on civil projects or subdivisions, with a proven ability to lead construction teams to successful project completion while building a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Who You Are

You are a hands-on, safety-focused, and solutions-driven construction leader with strong experience supervising field operations in a civil construction environment. You understand how to coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to keep work moving efficiently while maintaining high standards for safety, productivity, and quality.

You are proactive, organized, and confident interpreting construction plans and scopes of work. You set clear expectations, hold your team accountable, and support employees through mentorship, training, and feedback. You take pride in fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment and representing the company professionally with clients, partners, and all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader by adhering to and promoting safety and environmental rules, procedures, and company standards
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day site work activities on civil construction projects
  • Review construction drawings, project plans, and scopes of work, and collaborate closely with the project team to execute work effectively
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, schedules, and budgets
  • Promote and enforce all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and inspections
  • Provide clear expectations to crews regarding safety, productivity, schedule, and quality performance
  • Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources to support project success
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies, field issues, and operational challenges in collaboration with the Project Team
  • Work proactively and implement operational improvements where needed to improve performance and efficiency
  • Lead and empower employees to achieve project goals through mentorship, training, and ongoing feedback
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
  • Coordinate with other site team members to ensure shift deliverables and project milestones are achieved
  • Maintain accurate and complete equipment logs, shift logs, inspections, daily field records, and other required documentation
  • Oversee the care and proper use of company vehicles, equipment, tools, and rental items on site
  • Represent Infracon, its clients, and project stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
  • Participate in and contribute practical knowledge and expertise to support the success of the team and project
  • Support other duties and responsibilities as required to contribute to the success of the company and its projects

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the civil construction industry
  • Proven experience supervising and directing site works on civil projects, subdivisions, or similar construction environments
  • Strong understanding of civil construction practices, sequencing, and field coordination
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in underground utility installation, roadworks, and municipal construction
  • Experience using HeavyJob is considered an asset
  • Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment is considered an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence required; Class 1 driver's licence is considered an asset
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada

Safety Requirements

Worker must supply basic PPE including boots, hi-visibility vest, hardhat, and safety glasses
Infracon will provide any specialized PPE required for the role

Drug and alcohol testing may be required in accordance with company or project requirements
Safety certifications such as First Aid, CSTS, H2S, or similar are considered assets
Must participate fully in all required safety meetings, hazard assessments, inspections, and safe work planning activities

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position is primarily site-based and works outdoors the majority of the time. Working conditions may include exposure to hot or cold temperatures, wind, flying dust, uneven ground, and other active construction site conditions.

The role requires frequent standing, walking, twisting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
