Position Overview

We are currently seeking Liner Technicians to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for individuals who thrive in outdoor environments, enjoy physical work, and take pride in delivering reliable results on time and on budget.

As a Liner Technician, you'll be an essential part of our field operations, assisting with the installation and repair of geosynthetic liners on industrial and environmental sites across Western Canada and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, weld, test, and repair geosynthetic liner systems (HDPE, LLDPE, PVC, etc.)
  • Prepare and inspect subgrade surfaces before liner deployment.
  • Operate and maintain specialized welding and testing equipment.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure work meets project specifications.
  • Follow strict safety procedures and participate in daily tailgate meetings.
  • Assist with logistics, material handling, and job site clean-up.
  • Work in remote areas and travel to various project sites as required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities to support the success of Canadian Liner and its projects.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience with geomembrane liners or welding equipment
  • Experience in construction, civil, or industrial environments.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor and remote conditions.
  • Safety-conscious and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and following detailed instructions.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred:

  • CSTS, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, or other safety certifications.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation.
