Senior EPM Functional Consultant – Finance Transformation

We are seeking a Senior EPM Functional Consultant – Finance Transformation to join a Finance Transformation consulting practice, supporting international clients and end-to-end EPM implementation projects.

The ideal candidate is a functional consultant with hands-on EPM implementation experience who understands Finance and Accounting processes and can translate business requirements into functional EPM solutions.

This is not a technical development or infrastructure position.

The role follows a hybrid work model in Mexico City or Guadalajara, approximately two days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Participate directly in end-to-end EPM implementation projects, from requirements gathering through design, configuration, testing, deployment and go-live.
• Gather and translate Finance and Accounting requirements into functional solution designs.
• Define business rules, workflows, approval processes, dimensions, financial models and reporting requirements.
• Perform or support functional configuration, testing, data validation, user training and post-go-live activities.
• Implement solutions related to planning and budgeting, FP&A, financial consolidation, account reconciliation, financial close and/or cost accounting.
• Participate in Finance Transformation initiatives, including current-state analysis, future-state design and process improvement when required.
• Work directly with Finance stakeholders and international clients, particularly US-based teams.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, data requirements and functional validation.
• Support transformation projects for organizations operating in manufacturing and other complex global environments.
• Prepare and present project deliverables, recommendations and progress updates to stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals and business-development activities when required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of consulting experience, ideally within EPM implementation, Finance Transformation, Financial Systems or related consulting practices. Senior-level experience is preferred.
• Hands-on functional experience implementing at least one EPM platform.
• Participation in multiple implementation phases, including requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Solid understanding of Finance and Accounting processes.
• Experience with Oracle EPM / Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan, Prophix, SAP SAC Planning / BPC or comparable EPM solutions.
• Experience in processes such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, financial consolidation, account reconciliation, financial close and/or cost accounting.
• Experience working directly with clients and Finance stakeholders.
• Advanced English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international and US-based clients.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and take ownership of project deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional background. Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related disciplines are preferred.

Preferred

• Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM modules, such as:
  • Planning
  • FCCS
  • ARCS
  • PCMCS
  • Tax Reporting
• Background in a Big Four, Accenture, Oracle, Capgemini, IBM, Indra or specialized EPM consulting firm.
• Experience working on global or US-based projects.
• Exposure to Manufacturing Accounting and/or Cost Accounting.
• Experience with data integration, reporting, financial modeling and/or EPM automation.
