Data Engineering & Data Governance Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Manager – Data Governance & Risk to lead initiatives that strengthen how data is governed, analyzed and managed across the organization while enabling informed risk-based decision making.

This role focuses on Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Management and Risk Management. The ideal candidate understands modern data platforms and analytics but is not expected to build data pipelines or develop software.

You will partner with Data Engineering, Architecture, Information Security and Business teams to ensure data is reliable, properly governed and managed according to risk and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement Data Governance practices.
• Assess risks associated with data assets and data lifecycle.
• Challenge Data Engineering teams regarding data quality, lineage and controls.
• Define data quality metrics and governance standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve data management processes.
• Design executive dashboards and risk reporting.
• Identify data-related risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Partner with Risk, Security and Data teams.
• Support data-driven decision making through analytics and reporting.

Requirements

• 5–8 years in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Risk Management or Information Governance.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data.
• Experience defining Data Governance frameworks.
• Experience working with metadata, data lineage, stewardship or data quality.
• Experience translating analytical findings into executive recommendations.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams.
• Experience working with international stakeholders.
• Advanced English.
