Job Description:
A major force in the iGaming and sports betting space is looking for a commercially sharp, operationally disciplined, and highly strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead its South African business into the next phase of growth.

What You'll Be Doing
As CEO, you will be responsible for setting and delivering the strategic direction of the business in South Africa. You will lead from the front across commercial performance, operations, compliance, market positioning, product alignment, and long-term growth.
Your role will include:
- Defining and executing the company's South African growth strategy
- Taking full accountability for P&L performance, revenue growth, margin management, and overall business health
- Leading, mentoring, and challenging the executive and senior leadership team to perform at a high level
- Driving commercial success across sportsbook, gaming, customer acquisition, retention, and brand performance
- Ensuring the business operates within all regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the South African market
- Identifying market opportunities, competitive threats, and operational gaps, then acting decisively
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, regulators, and internal group leadership
- Creating a performance-led culture focused on accountability, agility, and execution
- Overseeing operational excellence across departments to ensure scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Working closely with product, technology, marketing, finance, and compliance functions to align business priorities and execution
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a leader who combines strategic thinking with commercial aggression and operational control. You must understand the realities of the iGaming and sports betting industry and know how to lead in a highly competitive, fast-moving environment.
You will need:
- Proven experience in a CEO, Managing Director, Country Manager, General Manager, or equivalent executive leadership role
- Strong experience within the iGaming, online betting, sportsbook, gaming, or wider gambling sector
- Deep understanding of the South African betting and gaming market
- Demonstrated success in scaling revenue, improving profitability, and leading multi-functional teams
- Strong grasp of compliance, governance, and regulatory obligations within a regulated environment
- Exceptional commercial acumen and the ability to make high-impact strategic decisions
- Experience managing senior stakeholders, board-level relationships, and executive reporting
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire confidence, challenge underperformance, and drive results
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- A hands-on, accountable leadership style with the resilience to operate in a high-pressure environment
