The Senior Director, FP&A will lead critical processes of financial planning, forecasting, business analysis and reporting for the client and take an active part in optimizing business decisions to drive company's aggressive growth agenda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive KPI based annual/strategic planning (1 year, 3 years, 5 years) and KPI based forecast processes across the organization, prepare financial and operational waterfall/walks.
  • Lead Monthly Business Review Processes including Reporting actuals, variance analysis versus budgets and forecast.
  • Lead the monthly forecasting process for monthly consolidation of latest outlook and perform post-audits of actual results vs. assumptions to continually improve forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with CEO, CFO, Business Leaders, Functional Leaders and Operation, pressure test business assumptions for the annual plan and re-forecasts, prepare alternative scenarios, as necessary, and recommend options to drive additional growth, net profits and cash.
  • Manage internal reporting processes for the closing meetings, monthly reporting, key IBP milestones and ensuring the information is published accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and report KPIs/scorecard with corporate and business units (for example Supply Chain, Retail, Functional Budgets and others) specific metrics, interpret the underlying data for actionable next steps and recommendations.
  • Mine monthly/quarterly actuals and key drivers of past performance versus targets, highlight critical Ahas and isolate risks/opportunities for further action.
  • Lead the FP&A team with connecting data across various data sources for a holistic view on business issues and generating insights; perform value-added analysis around key assumptions and trends, put forth recommendations and action plans based on findings.
  • Champion financial projects such as data digitalization, developing exception-based reports and leveraging the Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse for data mining and insights generation.
  • Develop and grow the FP&A team, drive engagement and collaboration, remove obstacles and elevate contribution.
  • Review and fine-tune processes to continually improve the quality of support to business partners and customers.
  • Ad hoc Reporting and Analysis within strict timelines.
  • Pull Reports from system, ensure reports ties with ledgers.
  • Drive and lead growth and margin accretion projects.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Ability to effectively work under pressure, managing multiple and changing priorities.
  • High level of motivation and energy with desire to roll up sleeves moving from the high level to the detail as necessary.
  • High level of proven analytical ability to mine data, connect the dots and translate data into actionable steps to drive improved business performance.
  • Strong experience with financial reporting
  • Ability to communicate analysis in a clear, succinct and persuasive manner.
  • Strong technical skills/agility with a variety of systems
  • Demonstrated strong financial, operational and business acumen, strong achievement and results orientation.
  • High on Emotional Intelligence, Soft skills to navigate complex discussions and Transformation projects.
  • Ability to effectively lead and drive transformation projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters or Bachelors Business degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Retail/CPG/Pharma experience is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10-year experience in a similar role
  • Self-starter.
  • Strong business acumen, experience with business analysis and financial reporting
  • Outstanding leadership skills, experience of leading teams in the past.
  • Extremely systems savvy with exceptional Excel skills
  • Outstanding analytical mindset with a desire to find the hidden opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
  • Strong team player who manages collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, and ability to lead informal teams.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure, managing multiple and changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate analysis in a clear, succinct and persuasive manner to all levels of the organization.
  • Finance Transformation experience.
  • Extremely strong with MS Suite (Excel, Word and PPT), Experience working with ERP, BI Tools, QB, project management tool.
