Application Specialist IT

We are looking for an experienced Application Specialist for one of our global shipping clients. This person is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise applications and analytics platforms to ensure smooth operations, compliance, and data integrity across the organisation. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage enterprise applications, ensuring system stability, performance, and alignment with business requirements
• Configure and maintain applications in accordance with organisational policies and compliance standards
• Handle incident, problem, and change requests following structured IT service management processes (ITIL)
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution to minimise operational disruptions
• Maintain clear and structured documentation for system configurations, processes, and user guides
• Support user access management, audit processes, and compliance requirements (e.g. role-based access control)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancements
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Provide user training and support to ensure effective system adoption

Requirements

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in enterprise application support or similar roles
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Experience in application configuration, user support, and system documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Good communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to business users
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders

• Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with IMOS, Oracle ERP, JIBE, Data Lake, Power BI (DAX, modelling), and Integration tools (e.g., OIC, APIs).
