On behalf of a client, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Consultant to join their team. As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the client base and driving revenue growth, with a specific focus on developing private sector clients.

Your responsibilities will encompass various sales activities, including cold calling, appointment setting, lead development, and account management of existing clients. This is a hybrid role that requires you to spend several days in the Wexford office each week.

What will you do?

  • Conduct proactive cold calling and initiate outbound prospecting efforts to generate new business leads within the private sector.
  • Identify and qualify potential clients through research, networking, and lead generation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and existing clients, understanding their unique needs and effectively communicating the value of our data consultancy services.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments with key stakeholders, conducting compelling presentations to showcase our expertise and secure new business opportunities.
  • Nurture and manage a pipeline of leads, consistently tracking progress and providing regular updates to the management team.
  • Conduct thorough account management for existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to position Castlebridge as a trusted advisor in the data consultancy space.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.

The strengths you need

  • Proven experience in consultancy sales or professional services sales, with a track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence decision-makers at various levels within client organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track progress, and generate reports.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events, as required.
