On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Group IT Operations Manager.

This company is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of pet food,. They are a leader in the private label market.

Reporting to the Head of IT, the Group IT Operations Manager is responsible for the operational delivery of IT services in line with best practice and industry standards. They will be a collaborative partner to the business and colleagues, working with all IT Resources, both internal and external to provide stable, functional and secure solutions to the business. They will also analyse and improve quality, productivity and efficiency and look to new and innovative ways to support the company.


  • Ensuring staff know their responsibilities and roles.
  • Performance management, Mentoring and guidance
  • Vendor & 3rd Party management
  • Managing Infrastructure and Operations - Uptime, Stability, Lifecycle management, Asset management, Recovery, Service management, Maintenance and support of applications
  • Managing Project Delivery
  • Managing Financials - Budget preparation, Contract management, P&L and Balance sheet management for IT costs.
  • Managing contracts
  • Ensuring they are providing the service contracted for within expected parameters.


  • Ability to proactively create strong relationships with all levels of the business.
  • Experience of structuring an effective, quality focused and efficient team.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills to develop a well-rounded and skilled team.
  • Proven experience of delivering IT services that drive organisational change.
  • Successful track record of developing, delivering complex business critical IT services.
  • Educated to Degree level in an IT discipline or equivalent proven industry experience supported by accredited or proven continuous professional development.
  • A personable and dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence senior management and develop and maintain collaborative working relations both internally and with external service partners.
  • Having the ability to simplify and articulate complex IT solutions to all levels of the business.
  • Having the ability to manage teams across countries, sites, functions, technical and virtual.
