On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Solution Architect with experience & knowledge in IT and OT.  This is a Contractor role initially on a 6-month fixed term contract.

Job Summary:

As a Solution Architect with expertise in both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT), you will play a crucial role in assessing current solutions and designing roadmaps to address cyber security risks and ensure efficient and effective operations. Your responsibilities will include guiding and advising on current approaches, leveraging your technical expertise to create robust and scalable solutions that align with the companies strategic goals. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement innovative architectures that support the business's digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Assess current OT and IT solutions to identify vulnerabilities and potential cyber security risks.
  • - Design and develop roadmaps to address identified risks and align with the overall cyber security strategy.
  • - Provide guidance and expertise on current approaches and best practices in OT and IT.
  • - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • - Develop and maintain architecture frameworks, standards, and principles to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • - Lead the evaluation and selection of technology solutions, including hardware, software, and third-party vendors.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of OT and IT systems.
  • - Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to protect critical infrastructure and data.
  • - Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and industry standards related to OT, IT, and cyber security.
  • - Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • - Participate in the development and execution of pilot projects and proof-of-concepts.


Requirements:

  • - Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • - Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a focus on both OT and IT domains.
  • - Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • - Experience in assessing and mitigating cyber security risks in OT environments.
  • - Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to OT and IT security (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443).
  • - Proficiency in designing and implementing architecture frameworks and solutions.
  • - Strong understanding of networking, cloud computing, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • - Experience with agriculture or manufacturing industries is a plus.
