About the Role
Our client is seeking a Sales Associate to join its growing team in the Houston market. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career medical sales professional who is hungry, driven, and looking to build a long-term career in hospital or ASC-based sales.
The company is looking for someone with a strong sales pedigree, ideally with formal B2B sales training and currently in their first or second medical device role. In this position, you will initially support the Dallas, Texas representative for approximately one year before transitioning into ownership of a Houston, Austin, and San Antonio territory. The broader territory includes Texas and Oklahoma.
This role focuses on selling both capital equipment and disposable products into gastroenterology and endoscopy environments. Call points include gastroenterology practices, hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers. The role offers a base salary of $60,000 with total compensation at plan ranging from $120,000 to $140,000+, along with mileage reimbursement. Travel is approximately 40%, including 1 to 2 overnight stays per week. Relocation assistance is not available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1 to 5 years of medical sales experience required
- Proven record of sales success with documented performance required
- Experience calling on hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, or physician offices preferred
- Background in medical device, GI, endoscopy, ortho, or other related medical sales environments strongly considered
- Strong sales training and foundational B2B sales experience preferred
- Must be early in career and motivated to grow into a larger territory role
- Willingness to travel approximately 40%, including 1 to 2 overnight trips per week
- Must be comfortable supporting the Dallas territory initially before transitioning into the Houston, Austin, and San Antonio market
