About the Role

The client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support multiple clients in a fast-paced, client-facing accounting environment. This is not a traditional corporate accounting role—this position focuses on managing multiple sets of books while working directly with business owners to ensure accurate financials and strong operational support.

In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across several clients, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end close. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing financial insights and maintaining high standards of accuracy and documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients (ideally 5+ sets of books)
• Perform month-end close, including reconciliations and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
• Conduct account reconciliations and variance analysis
• Communicate directly with business owners to provide updates and financial insights
• Maintain strong documentation and audit-ready financial records
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff as needed
• Contribute to process improvements and scalable accounting practices

This is a fully remote position with strong growth potential into an Accounting Manager role as the company continues to expand.

Requirements

Core Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong month-end close experience
• Experience in multi-entity or client-based accounting environments
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (daily use required)
• Strong reconciliation and variance analysis skills
• High level of documentation discipline
• Experience mentoring or reviewing junior accounting staff

Preferred Background

• Experience in Client Accounting Services (CAS), bookkeeping firms, or outsourced accounting environments
• Experience managing multiple clients or sets of books simultaneously
• Background supporting small to mid-sized businesses
