Job Purpose

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant - Billing to support the finance team by performing accurate and timely billing processes for assigned logistics principals. The role ensures proper invoicing, reconciliation, and customer dispute resolution while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify job readiness for billing in the digital archive, ensuring all supporting documents are complete.
  • Prepare and send monthly reports including Uninvoiced Reports, Job Status Reports, and Unbilled Duty Reports.
  • Generate accurate invoices for assigned logistics principals, including delay charges and customs duties.
  • Track unbilled custom duties and ensure accurate billing or correction of job references.
  • Reconcile jobs older than 30 days to ensure timely closure with valid justifications.
  • Assist credit controller with receivables collection and resolving billing disputes.
  • Issue credit notes when required and provide duplicate invoices/supporting documents to customers.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports requested by customers or supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE, anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, and company compliance policies.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in accounts, preferably in logistics or related industries.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Word) and accounting software (ERP systems such as Dolphin/Eyeshare preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience in the UAE or exposure to international billing environments will be an advantage.
