Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-focused Senior Technical Lead to own architecture, code quality, and delivery across a diverse technology stack. You will mentor engineers, refine processes, and ensure product uptime while partnering with Product and Executive teams to drive technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Technical Strategy (30%) Maintain living diagrams of repos, define when to refactor vs. rewrite, enforce patterns for APIs, events, IaC, and security.

  • Hands-on Delivery & Code Reviews (25%) Write critical modules in Python/Node/.NET/Go, unblock teams, lead design spikes, approve releases.

  • Cloud & DevOps Excellence (15%) Oversee AWS (70%), Azure (20%), GCP (10%) resources, optimise cost & performance, and standardise Terraform/Serverless.

  • People Leadership (15%) Mentor 68 engineers (backend, frontend, DevOps), conduct 1-on-1s, career alignment, and hiring interviews.

  • Security & Compliance (10%) Champion least-privilege IAM, secret management, and ensure compliance with SOC2, ISO 27001, and other standards.

  • Stakeholder Communication (5%) Translate tech trade-offs into plain language for C-suite and cross-functional teams.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 6+ years professional engineering experience with 5+ years in a technical lead/architect role.

  • Strong expertise in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, .NET, Go, Ruby on Rails.

  • Cloud & DevOps skills: AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS), Azure (AKS), GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub).

  • Solid data stack knowledge: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, DynamoDB.

  • Experience with frontend/mobile: React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Flutter, React Native.

  • Strong database & architecture design skills (SQL and NoSQL).

  • Hands-on CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.

  • Demonstrated history of managing engineering throughput with 99.9% uptime SLAs.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Stripe, Salesforce, Contentful, HubSpot, OpenAI.

  • Experience managing Kubernetes across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Previous work in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, PCI, SOC2).

  • Mobile CI/CD with React Native (Expo) or desktop development (MS/WPF).
