We Are Hiring - Salesforce Support Engineer

Core Responsibilities

  • Receive, log, and prioritize support requests from help desk, service delivery staff, or users.
  • Ensure requests are prioritized based on agreed criteria and organizational needs.
  • Investigate incidents, problems, and support requests within area of competence.
  • Determine appropriate actions and escalate where necessary.
  • Track the progress of support requests, keeping users and stakeholders informed.
  • Take corrective action to minimize delays and maintain service levels.
  • Support service level management by monitoring the impact of issues on agreed service levels.
  • Assist with the implementation of remedies and preventive measures in collaboration with service desk, incident, and change management teams.
  • Respond to support requests with system modifications, workarounds, or reconfigurations.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to development teams or software vendors.

  • Ensure all work is documented in line with required standards and procedures.

  • Initiate actions to resolve system/service problems and log incidents in defect/problem reporting systems.
  • Liaise with development teams or software vendors on enhancements to overcome issues or fulfill user requirements.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce applications, including configuration, auditing, and support. Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and development tools.
  • Knowledge of structured development techniques, with awareness of Agile, SCRUM, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience managing production and non-production environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Familiarity with coding standards, syntax, and software testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of IT industry standards, practices, and certification programs (e.g., ISO27001, SOX, SOC).
  • Solid understanding of release and change management processes.
  • Ability to interrogate incident databases and utilize known error logs for resolution.
  • Skilled in gathering and validating customer needs in service delivery.
  • Awareness of compliance and audit processes (SOX, SSAE16/18, ISO27001).
  • Awareness of RDBMS installation and support (preferably MySQL or MS SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Dynatrace.
