Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager Utilities & Maintenance to oversee the performance, safety, and efficiency of all utility systems and maintenance functions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, and utility operations, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal performance and availability of all utility systems including biomass steam boilers, furnace oil steam boilers, thermic fluid heaters, compressors, generators, pump house operations, vehicle service stations, and main power distribution systems.
• Maintain minimum machine downtime through quick troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance.
• Lead and support infrastructure expansion projects and utility capacity enhancement (CAPEX/OPEX).
• Manage and control engineering expenses by implementing sustainable and effective cost-control measures.
• Evaluate, adopt, and implement new technologies to improve efficiency in all utility parameters.
• Monitor energy consumption trends and implement energy efficiency measures to minimize operational costs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians while fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree / BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering or National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical Stream).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within the manufacturing industry. Experience in a fabric dyeing and finishing plant will be given priority.
• Strong industrial knowledge in advanced thermodynamics.
• Must hold a government-authorized Certificate of Competence (Class 01, up to 20 Tons/hr at 10 bar Capacity).
• Proven track record in utility and machine maintenance management using modern manufacturing practices.
• Strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Effective people management, leadership, and communication skills.
