Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and confident Team Manager to lead a team of Subject Matter Experts within an IT/BPM environment, with a focus on legal operations, rights management, publishing, and KPO-related processes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing team performance, ensuring timely project delivery, coaching and mentoring team members, corresponding with clients, resolving operational challenges, and maintaining service quality. This role requires strong leadership, excellent English communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations Management

• Lead and manage a team of Subject Matter Experts, including Legal Analysts.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely task completion.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality of work.
• Allocate work effectively and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Maintain a professional, structured, and performance-focused team environment.

Client Communication & Stakeholder Coordination

• Correspond with clients professionally through written and verbal communication.
• Understand client requirements and ensure they are clearly communicated to the team.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Escalate project concerns, risks, or delays when required.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.

Quality, Process & Deadline Management

• Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines.
• Support quality control across legal operations, copyright, publishing, and rights management processes.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Work under pressure to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
• Ensure team members follow process guidelines and project standards.

Coaching, Mentoring & Team Development

• Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and capability.
• Provide regular feedback and guidance to support professional development.
• Help team members resolve operational or process-related challenges.
• Promote accountability, ownership, and continuous learning within the team.

Problem Solving & Reporting

• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve operational issues.
• Prepare updates and reports related to team performance, task progress, and project status.
• Support management with accurate information for decision-making.
• Work independently with minimum supervision while maintaining high standards.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in legal operations, copyright, publishing, KPO, BPM, or a similar environment.
• Prior experience in team leadership or supervision is required.
• Exposure to the corporate industry is required.
• Experience working with legal analysts, subject matter experts, or knowledge-based operational teams will be an added advantage.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to correspond fluently and professionally with clients.
• Strong analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and guide team members effectively.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and ownership mindset.
• Good computer literacy and ability to work in a structured IT/BPM environment.
