Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced GM – Sales & Marketing / Director – Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial operations of a well-established manufacturing and retail business .

The role will be responsible for driving national sales growth, strengthening retail and distributor networks, developing brand strategies, and ensuring market leadership across multiple product categories. The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing large sales teams, overseeing retail channels,

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with business growth objectives.

  • Lead national sales operations including distributor management, retail channel expansion, and regional sales performance.

  • Strengthen and manage distribution networks across modern trade, general trade, and company-owned retail outlets.

  • Develop brand positioning and integrated marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and market share.

  • Oversee trade marketing strategies, promotions, and merchandising initiatives across retail networks.

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and product development teams to ensure product availability and successful product launches.

  • Manage pricing strategies, sales forecasts, and revenue targets across product portfolios.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and strategic partners.

  • Lead and mentor regional sales teams, marketing teams, and channel managers to drive high performance.

  • Prepare and present commercial performance reports, budgets, and strategic plans to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional qualification in Marketing (CIM / SLIM) or an MBA will be an added advantage.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Sales & Marketing .


  • Strong knowledge of national distribution systems, retail operations, and trade marketing strategies.

  • Experience managing large sales teams and regional sales structures.

  • Strong understanding of consumer market dynamics and brand development.

  • Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and operational efficiency.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
