WE ARE HIRING: Country Lead Operations (Sri Lanka)

Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Country Lead Operations to oversee and drive the success of a large-scale operations team in Sri Lanka. This role acts as the key interface between the global leadership team and local operations, ensuring strategic alignment, operational excellence, and continuous improvement through automation and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 100+ employees across network, security, IT, and delivery functions.
• Partner with global leadership to define and execute long-term vision and strategy.
• Collaborate with People & Culture and Talent Acquisition teams to recruit and develop top talent.
• Drive KPI alignment and performance improvement across all operational functions.
• Mentor and coach teams to achieve optimal performance in a cost-effective manner.
• Deliver clear executive-level communication and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI-driven monitoring, and process optimization.
• Implement structured professional development and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading large operations teams in technology companies.
• Proven success in strategic planning and execution aligned with organizational objectives.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of telecommunications networks, ITIL processes, and incident/problem/change management frameworks.
• Familiarity with network automation, observability tools, and AI/ML-driven operations (desirable).
• High emotional intelligence and ability to manage complex situations effectively.
