Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Assistant Manager – HR to support the effective delivery of HR operations, employee engagement, recruitment, compliance, and talent development initiatives within the hospitality industry.

The selected candidate will play a key role in strengthening HR processes, enhancing employee experience, maintaining accurate HR records, supporting performance management, and ensuring alignment with organizational policies and labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Support the execution of HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain HR systems, employee records, payroll inputs, and benefits administration accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, HR procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare timely and accurate HR reports for management and group-level requirements.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand hiring requirements and support timely recruitment.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding experiences for new employees.
  • Maintain recruitment records and support improvements in hiring efficiency.

Employee Engagement & Workplace Culture

  • Manage employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace experience.
  • Support activities that improve employee participation, retention, and overall morale.
  • Act as a point of coordination between employees, department heads, and management.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and service-oriented work culture.

Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Support performance management processes, including appraisals, feedback tracking, and development needs.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to address capability gaps.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to organize learning initiatives.
  • Monitor training completion, feedback, and development-related outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in HR operations or a similar HR role.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry will be preferred.
  • Exposure to Learning & Development and employee engagement will be an added advantage.
  • Professional certification such as CQHRM, CIPD, or SHRM will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compliance.
  • Good understanding of labor laws and HR procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and multitasking ability.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure effectively.
