Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Account Controller to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations within a dynamic apparel manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial management, strengthening internal controls, and supporting business decision-making through financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS / LKAS and internal policies
  
• Review general ledger, trial balance, and journal entries
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
  
• Oversee balance sheet accounts and reconciliations
• Monitor key financial areas including inventory, receivables, and payables
  
• Maintain fixed and intangible asset registers and ensure accurate depreciation
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and handle audit requirements
  
• Support tax computations and statutory compliance
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  
• Identify process improvements and enhance financial systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights
  

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as CA / ACCA / CIMA will be an added advantage
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS / LKAS)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
  
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
