Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager – Credit Control to manage the companys receivables portfolio and ensure effective credit risk management. This role focuses on maintaining healthy cash flow through timely collections, monitoring credit exposure, and working closely with internal teams and customers to resolve payment issues.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening credit control processes, improving receivables performance, and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness and recommend credit limits in line with company policies.
  • Monitor customer accounts to identify potential credit risks and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support the development and implementation of credit control policies and procedures to safeguard company interests.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, follow-up, and collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to resolve billing disputes or issues affecting collections.
  • Track overdue accounts and implement appropriate collection strategies to minimize bad debts.
  • Prepare and maintain receivables aging reports and monitor customer payment patterns.
  • Escalate unresolved cases to management or legal teams where necessary.
  • Support monitoring of foreign exchange settlements and cross-currency transactions.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports related to credit collections and receivables performance.
  • Produce regular reports on Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and collection efficiency.
  • Analyze customer payment trends and recommend improvements to credit management processes.
  • Support management in forecasting cash inflows based on receivable balances and collection patterns.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers while enforcing credit policies effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment on credit terms and collection priorities.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Partially or fully qualified in CA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit control, receivables management, or finance operations.
  • Experience in technology, IT services, or related industries will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management and receivables processes.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with strong integrity and accountability.
