Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to expand Savannah River Logistics market share in Indian exports. The role requires strong B2B sales expertise in international logistics, freight forwarding, or 3PL, with proven success in acquiring high-volume clients and exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire 15-20 new Indian shipper clients annually, focusing on high-volume exporters (50+ containers/year to US East Coast).
  • Generate $12 million in annual recurring revenue from new contracts.
  • Maintain an 80% client retention rate through consistent collaboration and follow-up.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline of 50+ qualified leads per quarter via networking and prospecting.
  • Shorten the sales cycle to under 90 days by tailoring pitches to Savannahs competitive advantages.
  • Produce 10+ market intelligence reports annually on Indian export trends and competitor activity.
  • Facilitate at least 5 cross-border pilot projects with US teams.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of proven B2B sales experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or 3PL.
  • Exposure to major marine shipping lines/NVOCCs, with work experience in India, Cambodia, or Bangladesh.
  • Strong track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent client acquisition, retention, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a cross-time-zone setup.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to pitch value propositions effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making and tools such as HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and ethical with a strong commitment to compliance and integrity.
