Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer – Database to manage and enhance centralized database infrastructure within a high-performance IT operations environment. The role will focus on implementing advanced database technologies, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and maintaining strong security standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering reliable and secure database solutions while supporting critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities Take a leading role in implementing modern database technologies to support centralized database infrastructure. Evaluate and recommend appropriate database technologies and platforms to meet business and operational requirements. Implement database security and audit requirements in line with ISO27001 and PCIDSS security standards, including vulnerability management, access control, encryption, and auditing. Analyze, consolidate, tune performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimize database environments. Perform in-depth analysis of database system issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency of database systems within the IT infrastructure. Monitor and maintain database performance to support enterprise applications and operational requirements. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure database systems comply with internal policies, procedures, and operational standards. Support innovation initiatives and evaluate modern technologies that enhance database performance and security. Contribute to initiatives involving AI tools and AI adoption strategies within database environments where applicable.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator in a Data center environment.
• Certification in Microsoft SQL Server Administration or other database platforms such as DB2, PostgreSQL, or similar DBMS.
• Certification in VMware or Nutanix will be considered an added advantage.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge or experience in AI tools or AI adoption strategies within database environments will be considered a strong advantage.
